You've Got Questions, I'm Happy to Answer Them
How long have you been photographing weddings?
I started as second photographer, and have photographed over 100 weddings over the past 10 years. I have always loved weddings and am honoured that I get to share in the beauty of one of the most important days of your life!
Will you be the one photographing our wedding?
Yes! The only other photographers I work with are a few trusted colleagues that I use as second shooters. Rest assured it will be me that is there on your day.
What if you can't make it to the wedding? Do you have a backup?
Over 100 weddings and that thankfully has not happened yet! Unless I'm in a hospital bed I'll be there! However if the stars do not align for me on your day, I do have a large trusted network of photographers who I can rely on in a pinch. If I'm unconscious my husband knows what to do. You will be taken care of – I guarantee it!
What if we go over the amount of hours indicated?
The hours indicated are a rough guideline based on common events during the day.
Every wedding is different, so the packages are meant to cover what's most important to you. There is typically some wiggle room within reason, I don't want you stressing out about keeping me there an extra 15 minutes because the band didn't start on time. But you'll know beforehand at what time I plan to leave so there aren't any surprises the day of. As part of the process, I'll also help you with your timeline to make sure everything you want is covered.
Do I need a second photographer?
This comes down to what's important to you. A second photographer gives you a better variety of angles and perspectives.
As much as I try, I can't be in two places at once, so it's almost always necessary if you want photos of both the guys and girls getting ready. Are you doing a first look? I can only capture one of your reactions by myself.
Getting photos of both the groom's reaction to the bride, and the bride walking down the aisle can be tricky for one photographer, especially in a tight venue. A second photographer can also capture that candid moment of your aunt giving the sister she hasn't seen in 10 years a hug, while I'm busy taking family photos.
There's also an occasional time when someone decides to jump in front of me at a crucial moment (believe me it's happened!!). A second shooter ensures that those quick moments are captured.
These are all things we can discuss during your initial consultation.
Will You Travel?
Absolutely! I love travelling, and the romance of a wedding abroad is hard to beat.
I would love to come to wherever your location may be. Please note, there may be additional fees involved, but let's chat about what that looks like for your plans.
How will we get our photos?
All packages include a customized, personal, online gallery with edited high-resolution images. This gallery can be shared with your family and friends, where you can all download or share as you wish. Some packages also include pre-selected prints, as well as the images saved on a crystal USB drive which will be mailed to you shortly after the online gallery is ready.
Do we get printing rights?
Of course! All packages come with an online gallery. You are able to print and distribute these however and wherever you choose.
I do retain the original image copyright to use for marketing, in my portfolios, social media and promotions. During our consultation though, I'll ask if you or any of your guests will have issues with their photos being on my social media pages.
